A teen driver allegedly crashed a stolen BMW into a Western Sydney medical centre after a high-speed police chase, leaving the building with extensive damage. The incident unfolded late on Friday night, sparking a major police operation.
Around 11:30PM, officers spotted the BMW SUV on Northern Road, Cranebrook. Police allege it had been stolen earlier that night from a Cambridge Park hotel. When the driver allegedly refused to stop, officers initiated a pursuit but quickly called it off due to safety concerns.
High-Speed Chase Ends in Destruction
Moments later, police claim the BMW collided with a Mitsubishi SUV on the Great Western Highway at St Marys. The impact sent the stolen vehicle crashing into a nearby medical centre, smashing signage and scattering debris across the floor.
The alleged driver, a 16-year-old boy, was found hiding inside the wrecked building with the help of the Dog Squad. Paramedics treated him at the scene before transferring him to hospital under police guard.

Police confirmed he faces charges including police pursuit – not stop – drive dangerously, take/drive conveyance without consent of owner, and never licensed person drive vehicle on road. He is scheduled to appear before the children’s court.
Victims and Ongoing Investigation
The Mitsubishi driver, a 39-year-old woman, was also treated at the scene but did not require hospitalisation. The Traffic and Highway Patrol Command established a crime scene, with Strike Force Puma now leading the investigation.
Authorities have released images showing the extent of the damage, including a shattered front sign and debris throughout the reception area. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
