The Wheatbelt’s finest bogans gathered at William’s Town Hall on Friday night with fresh mullets and dry-cleaned flannels to enjoy the Aussie-fied retelling of Shakespeare’s classic Romeo and Juliet.
The iconic tale of southern crossed lovers kept apart by their feuding families — Dockers versus Eagles — ultimately ended in tragedy with blood-thirsty thong-fighting, poor Optus phone service and an O-happy dagger.
Audience members travelled from Narrogin, Darkan, Williams and beyond to watch BS Productions after their hit 2023 performance of Hamlet.

After the performance, eight of William’s best-dressed men showed off their bogan skills which led to a deadly battle between Chris Cowcher and Mike South, both adorned in footy shorts, Ugg boats, and a flannel, but Mr Cowcher won the crowd’s hearts in the end.
Fake sleeve tattoos and a Bintang singlet had Georgina Paterson sweeping the floor with the nine other female bogan competitors in the first round, including last year’s champion Heather Meldrum.
